Diabetic Ulcers & Non-Healing Wounds Defeated At Last
Seton CA Hospital Using Super Oxidized Water aka Hypochlorous Acid Water for Wounds
CONQUERING CHRONIC NON-HEALING WOUNDS WITH PURE SUPER OXIDIZED OR HYPOCHLOROUS ACID WATER
Diabetic Ulcer and Non-Healing Wounds are an ever present danger to diabetics. These types of wound occur for a couple of reasons:
- As a complication of diabetes – a reduction of blood flow and nerve damage causes tissue in the limbs – feet and legs – to die causing a critical condition for the limbs and the diabetic
- due to reduced feeling in feet and legs due to nerve damage allows injuries to occur unknown to the diabetic
- Damage to feet and legs due to Free Radical and Oxidative damage as a result of diabetes
- An infection of a wound from an antibiotic resistant bacteria keeping the wound from healing properly
- Reduced blood flow preventing or limiting wound healing after a wound has occurred
Super Oxidized Water or Hypochlorous Acid Water has been exhaustively researched and used in clinical studies and has been determined to be the best solution for non-healing wounds.
The Center for Disease Control recommends that this specialized water for killing all pathogens – such as bacteria, viruses, mold and fungus.
Super Oxidized Water has been lab tested and found to:
- Kill E. coli in 1/100th of a second
- Kill all other bacteria and viruses in less than 30 seconds
- Kills all fungus and molds in less than 5 seconds
The rest of this article is about how Seton Hospital in California has been using and found consistent success utilizing Super Oxidized Water on non – healing, infected wounds. Some of the information is a bit technical but I am positive you will find it enlightening.
If you or a loved one has a diabetic wound or ulcer or non-healing wound – I am even more confident you will want to have this Super Oxidized Water in your home. This solution to non-healing wounds can be made available in your home for just pennies a gallon in less than a week from now.

2012 & 2013 Wound Healing Society Abstract
Seton CA Hospital Using Super Oxidized Water aka Hypochlorous Acid Water for Wounds
CONQUERING CHRONIC NON-HEALING WOUNDS WITH PURE SUPER OXIDIZED OR HYPOCHLOROUS ACID WATER
Presented at the 2012 & 2013 Spring Symposiums on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) in conjunction with the 22nd Annual Meeting of the Wound Healing Society
Primary Author –Dr. John R. Crew Wound Care Center, Seton Medical Center Daly City, CA USA
Introduction: Chronic non-healing wounds, such as venous stasis ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and pressure ulcers are serious unmet medical needs that effect a patient’s morbidity and mortality.
Topically and systemically administered antibiotics do not adequately decrease the level of bacteria or the associated biofilm in chronic granulating wounds, and there is a probability of developing bacterial resistance.
Topical antiseptics have a long history of use, such as Dakin’s solution, dilute sodium hypochlorite solution generated by electrolysis at pH 7, hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid and povidone-iodine that remain in widespread use today. However, these antiseptics may not be fully effective and can actually impede wound healing.
We have more than 30 clinical case studies using pure 0.01% hypochlorous acid in a 0.9% saline solution at pH 4-5 with and without negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) that showed accelerated wound healing.
Common pathogens observed in these chronic wounds include Staphylococcus including MRSA, Pseudomonas, Enterobacter, Stenotrophomonas, and Serratia spp. In our in vitro experiment, we also show that 0.01% pure HOCl in 0.9% saline is more active than dilute solutions of sodium hypochlorite against S. aureus by a zone of inhibition assay.
HOCl has been described as being 80-100 times more potent as a germicide than the equivalent amount of sodium hypochlorite (high pH).
Background: Dr. John Crew Dr. John Crew, medical director of the San Francisco Center for Advanced Wound Care at the Seton Medical Center. Dr. Crew presented his paper titled, “Conquering Chronic Non-Healing Wounds with Pure Hypochlorous Acid” which he was a result of research he has been doing on advanced wound healing technology. Dr. Crew presented his finding at the 2012 Spring Symposium on Advanced Wound Care and will be presenting it again at the 2013 Symposium also.
Hypochlorous Acid Water: Hypochlorous acid water or Super Oxidized Water (SO) has been shown to disrupt bacterial biofilm and kill common wound pathogens in solution (both Gram-positive and Gram-negative), while leaving healthy living human cells unharmed.
The characteristics and mechanisms of action of hypochlorous acid water (EO Water) also make it highly unlikely that resistant strains of bacteria could develop over time.
Comment: This report “CONQUERING CHRONIC NON-HEALING WOUNDS WITH PURE HYPOCHLOROUS ACID” by Dr. John Crew is so important and advances wound healing problems that it is being presented 2 years in a row at the Symposiums on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Wound Healing Society.
Hypochlorous Acid water or Super-Oxidized Water is not a newcomer to the wound healing industry, it has been used for over 100 years, but it is finally taking its rightful place in the best practice regiment for wound care.
Hypochlorous acid water products are available from various vendors and at varying cost to both the health care facility, health professionals and home users.
Some of these hypochlorous acid water products have stabilizers and/or preservatives in them. The pH of these products can vary also.
pH is a wound healing factor that is now finally coming to the attention of health professionals who treat uncomplicated and non-healing wounds.
